Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy protects our clients, our partners and the wider internet. It applies to everyone who uses our services, and to websites and content we host or manage for you.

1. Prohibited activity

You must not use our services, or allow them to be used, to:

  • break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or run phishing, scam or fraud operations;
  • send spam or bulk unsolicited messages;
  • host or share unlawful, defamatory, threatening, hateful or sexually exploitative content;
  • attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the security of any system or network without authorisation;
  • run denial-of-service attacks or other activity that harms performance for others;
  • use backup or storage services to hold content you have no legal right to hold; or
  • resell or sublicense our services without our written agreement.

2. Security testing

Security testing of systems we manage requires our prior written permission.

3. Third-party rules

Where services are delivered through partners such as Bitdefender or Backblaze, their acceptable use rules apply as well.

4. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content, suspend or end services, and report illegal activity to the authorities, with notice where practical. We are not obliged to refund fees where services are ended for a breach of this policy.

5. Reporting abuse

To report abuse or content you believe infringes your rights, email contact@definedtechltd.com with the details and the page address where it appears.
